The term ‘Wordy’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ refers to the English company Wordy Limited as the owner of the website ‘wordy.com’ whose registered office is Second Floor Cardiff House, Tilling Road, London NW2 1LJ, England. Wordy Limited is registered with the UK government register of UK companies under company number: 07443366.

1. What we collect
When you order or register as a client with Wordy for the purpose of getting content edited by a copy-editor, the information we collect is:
- name
- contact information (email address)
- company name (if applicable)
- VAT number (if applicable)
- credit/debit card information
- order information (text and documents uploaded for editing)
- brief to editor
- communication with the editor.
‘Brief to editor’ is visible to all editors. As a client, you should therefore exercise caution when entering this information. Clients’ content uploaded for editing is visible only to the copy-editor who accepts the job.
When you register as a copy-editor with Wordy, the information we collect is:
- name
- contact information (email address, telephone number, Skype account)
- postal address (street, postcode, city, country)
- nationality
- years of professional experience
- professional and educational background
- organisation memberships
- credentials
- gender
- payPal ID.
We do not share any of your information with third parties except to the extent necessary to complete orders or as mandated by law.
2. Google user data
Wordy’s use of Google user data is limited to:
- user authentication through Firebase
- user authentication through Google Plus
- access to user’s Google Drive in order to share and submit Google Documents for editing
- user authorisation to edit Google Documents shared on Google Drive.
Wordy collects and stores:
- user’s email address
- user’s permission to access Google Drive
- user’s permission to edit Google Drive documents.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a small file that, with your permission, is placed on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies help analyse web traffic or let you know when you visit a particular site. They allow web applications to respond to you as an individual, and their operations can then be tailored to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
Wordy uses non-identifying and aggregate information to to improve its website’s design and as a source of information for advertisers.

While we take all commercially reasonable efforts to safeguard the privacy of the information you provide us and treat such information in accordance with this Privacy policy, under no circumstances will the information you provide to us be deemed confidential, create any fiduciary obligations to you on our part or result in any liability to you on our part in the event that such information is inadvertently released by us or accessed by third parties without our consent.
Wordy and its Directors and Agents will not be liable in respect of any claims or proceedings which arise out of the use or dissemination of personal information relating to you, as set out in this Privacy policy.
6. Data deletion
You have the right to have personal data shared with Wordy deleted at your request.

This Privacy policy is governed by the laws of England.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy policy, including any disputes regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be settled by arbitration arranged by English Arbitration in accordance with the rules of the arbitration procedure adopted by English Arbitration and in force at the time when such proceedings are commenced.
